about me

My photo
Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

Because sharing is caring!

Part of the reason why I love the blog forum so much, is that it's another avenue by which to share views, ideas, thoughts, and ....sigh...our trials and tribulations! Having comments posted by other people who are where you are at with something, for example...ooh...i don't know...shall we say...DAUGHTERS...is a huge comfort! So it really got me thinking that as I love swopping ideas, thoughts and views, I'd really like to also include posts that pose questions to those who are willing to spill the beans! So please expect appeals from me in the new future as to what you think about this or that, and anything that my wise owl Gran of 82 can't advise on!!

So staying with the spirit of sharing....I just thought it might be an idea to put some stuff out there, with the hopes that all who visit my blog may be inspired to take part.....yes Rond's...you included!!...as I have loved hearing from all of you who have shared your thoughts and views thus far! Thank you - you have inspired this in me!

So i was thinking....... (and this is where my husband would be tempted to say"....is it...really!!..you were thinking")LOL!

Please finish the sentence/fill in the blank.....:-)...under comments

1. I spend a significant amount of time thinking about/of............

2. The high AND low points of your last 24 hours/your day..........

Point number 2 is something our friend Linda introduced us to - just one of the pearls of wisdom gleaned from my sisters at inspiring and insightful coffee mornings that And's remembers so fondly in her blog...sniff....don't we all... . Lin also advised that the best time to do this as a family, is when sitting down to dinner.

Look forward to hearing from you!

  1. 1. I spend a significant amount of time thinking about/of...my daughter, now living in London and how she is managing.

    2. The high AND low points of your last 24 hours/your day....the high, the fun Desire, Rayna & Shelley had last night at dinner, lots of laughter which is food for the soul - the low ..... I can't say I had a low in the last 24 hours.

Off to the berg in an hour or so - yee haa
