about me

My photo
Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

Day 2 - 3rd July - Port Alfred - So in another country!

Thinking we were in heaven for sure, and not trusting it could get better than Morgan's Bay, we reluctantly headed off to Port Alfred. As we drove in to this gorgeous little town, with it's picturesque marina, we all just said ..."Oh WOW". We all fell in love with this town the moment we laid eyes on it, and agreed that this little place could fool anyone into believing they were "so in another country!".

We just HAD to stay on the Marina, so we checked in at "The Willows" for the night, where we got to enjoy being right in the heart of it - literally 10 metres from the waters edge, and really got to experience this gorgeous place! From our van we had the most awesome view, and the freedom of the kids being able to enjoy low tide the following morning - they kept themselves busy in the bay, where they had breakfast, while we packed the van in preparation for our trip to Grahamstown.

Memorable moments:

- just being on this beautiful Marina which could have been anywhere else in the world.
- the awesome shell shop in town - what a gem.
- watching boats cruise by and the bridge light up and change colour all night.
- Sunrise.

- the fact that so far, God was blessing us daily with awesome weather.

This holiday gave us lots of one-on-one time with our kids....
A pretty sunset...sadly one this photographer could not do justice to! LOL!
