Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

THE JOY OF A BIRTHDAY BOY

Friday 11th September - another year older for our boy child Dom. I so clearly recall, 9 years ago, wondering what this little newborn would turn out to be like? I tried to imagine our conversations in my mind, but they were nothing like the reality of living with this child of ours LOL! Not for a minute did I think that at 8 we would be hiring documentaries on History, instead of your standard kiddies movies!!My China, you are an old soul my boy. You see this world of ours, not through the eyes of a child, but through the eye's of a wise old owl.

Your sense of humour and wit is beyond belief. If only you knew how blessed you are to have the gift of creating laughter in people's lives - especially MINE! Above all, i love your kindness and your values, and your understanding of why you have them, and what they mean in the world. But most of all Dom, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that your best thing in the world, is to throw your arms around me anytime, anywhere and say...."Mom, I love you more than the most"....
