about me

My photo
Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

These two...

On Saturday the 9th October, this happened.........

These two precious little sisters became a part of our family.  It was not a decision taken lightly AT ALL, and something we have debated, mulled over, researched and agonised over for months and months.  3 years ago we became the proud owners of a beautiful cross Jack Russell called Sam, after much begging and pleading from our children to have a puppy to love.  The long and the short of that story is that Sam was smart, energetic, adventurous, boisterous and in true Jack RUssell style, a little crazy sometimes.  We soon realised that what he needed was so much more than our two children were in a position to give.  Luckily, the story ended happily, and we found a new home with a WONDERFUL, loving family whom we trusted to have him, the moment we laid eyes on them.  Since then, we've all grown older and wiser, and have taken the plunge AGAIN.  I researched for hours, days, weeks this time until I felt confident that we were doing the right thing....

I am so so grateful we decided to keep these little girls together.....knowing they have each other makes all the difference...

Dom's puppy, Jasmine is just like her owner, mischievious, more daring than her sister, playful and brave

Sabrina's Kimmi, just like her owner is a little princess...gentle, cautious, 'responsible over her sibling', obedient, and sometimes fretful

There were tears of joy when she realised her prayers had been answered

This little girl's heart feels whole again.....
