about me

My photo
Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

What I know for sure this week - week ending 21st September

- Hurting a mothers child is like signing your own death wish - depending on how spiritually evolved she is!
- Children still love good old fashioned free play in the bush.
- Never trust a Hillbilly in business, unless he’s selling dope or wood carvings! ….once a hillbilly, always a hillbilly!
- We really are from Mars and Venus…..she says (distraught) “I want to die!!!!!” – he says (nonplussed and confused) “No one died!”
- Africa can have rain, SNOW and sunshine, all at the same time!
- Even if you’re suffering from “presidentlessness”, life goes on!
- When in doubt of how to keep children happy, bribe them with sweets and money…now that one’s stood the test of time!
- You can have PMS for more than 3 days a month.
- To be a girlfriend, is to know a girlfriend!...(and understand her)
- A snowball can last an entire trip from Nottingham Road to Hillcrest, in your jacket pocket….and under layers and layers of clothing, you could be none the wiser!
- You can never be too organized.
- Having a plan B is a good thing!
