I love the beach, and enjoy the fact that come rain or sunshine, there are so many different ways you can enjoy it, ......whether it's getting that summer tan sorted, watching the kids build sandlcastles and collect shells, the smell of SUN TAN LOTION (bliss!!), or just watching the swells on a rainy, overcast day....whatever your preference, let's face it, it's one of the cheapest forms of therapy...not to mention the best au naturale foot scrub you can get...and provides some good eye candy too!!..meaning one's husband of course!!! LOL!
It's been a month since Nick's Mum passed away, and we've really pulled closer together as a family, which has made this change in our lives more bearable. We've clung to each other, as you would to a rock for security, and I guess it could also be described as a circle, where the ones in it, are the only one's who understand where you're at, and how you're feeling, and give you the freedom and the space to express it. SO needless to say this weekend was therapy for our family, including the lilly white legs, and the heart and soul, as we laughed and shared and reminisced and our children could find comfort in the arms of their favourite aunt....
Well we basked in Sunday's sun, and watched the waves rise and fall through the rain, and fell asleep to the breakers at night, and came home feeling restored .......home to our house in the 'country'... and for that I am eternally grateful!Cousins...Claire and Sabrina
On my old little digital, not being able to see what I was taking because of the glare of the sun, I captured some lovely pics this weekend, one I love in particular, of the sea and our children playing near the shore in the background, Nick playing frisbee with our brother in law, and then....best of all...the couple running with their MAGNIFICENT dalmation, who had the most beautiful markings I had seen in a long time.....unfortunately resizing doesn't do it justice!
Our boy Dom who caught the biggest fish (about 6 cm's?)...okay the only fish, of the day!

Sigh.....the days BEFORE cellulite!
The beach certainly has that calming effect, even if you are just sitting and reading a book. I think it is also the totally fresh air.
