Married to Nick for 13 years, with 2 children; Sabrina - 12 and Dominic - 11. I am a girlfriend through and through in that I love girly things and anything that celebrates the essence of being a woman. I love vintage, shabby chic, the country and try my best to do my bit for the environment. SO yes...we have 3 bins in our house and try our best to recycle! I believe that with everything in life, the closer we stick to nature, the better off we'll be. I would love to have a balance in life, but have learnt that balance is not always possible, so strive for significance instead, in the hopes that that will be just as meaningful, and the rest will hopefully follow.

Spring mist and rain


Tuesday morning, and spring has finally made her presence felt.....she teased us for a whole month with sunny days and high temperatures, but we are soooo delighted with the much needed rain.

In true Hillcrest style, we woke this morning to mist floating through the nature reserve below us, and fine rain that promises to restore our gardens to the beautiful lush lawns we so desperately miss!!

Linnie is here visiting from England and time spent with her has been GOLD!!  Working hard towards next week's showcase, but will DEFINITELY be stealing moments away from my desk to enjoy our precious friend.....YAY!

    Glad you enjoying your time with Linnie, she is def balm for the soul - can't wait till the four of us are together for coffee, will be such a good catch up :0)

    Tell the rain it only has another week and then it has to leave for 14 days I have enough of it here and NEED the sun lol
