if the shoe fits....

sigh.....

Last week, some wonderful blessings came my way......I FELT SO LUCKY...one of which was this BEAUTIFUL pair of wellies...my ABSOLUTE HEART's DESIRE....ticked all the "welly wants" boxes for me......I refused to leave the shop without them.  We were a match made in heaven, destined to be together, even though "technically" they weren't my size *blush*.....sometimes it's a case of "HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT THEM"???:-D...besides...I'm a size 5....sometimes a four...and if the shoe is REALLY awesome, I CAN BE a six if I have to:-DD.......it's called being *FLEXIBLE* peeps....:-P

But enough about the wellies....what I really wanted to share is that old saying...IF THE SHOE FITS, WEAR IT.  Last night, my darling boy and I spoke long and hard about exactly this....he shared his heart about his future goals ( I mean it's all of 10 year's old, but hey, it HAS GOALS and PLANS...I MELTED) - he is my *ambitious* child, (and I know this is going to sound kind of crazy), but in an UNAMBITIOUS way....is that possible???....

I think his lack of concentration free spirit sometimes has him wondering (as only his complex little mind can) if maybe those plans aren't just pipe dreams.....

Last night I told him....boy, those are big shoes to fill....but you can wear them...you can own them...you make them yours if that's your hearts desire!!  Only you can say, "I can't".  I always tell him, what I think we all need to remind ourselves of everyday....we all have AMAZING POTENTIAL if we believe we do....and even i we don't....so why not just try the shoe on.....it might not feel right...it may not be perfect, but you may need some time to adjust to the fit, and then find out you LOVE IT.........and that the size you've been wearing all along was just a littttle too tight anyways:-)
